10/10/10: BAD News: Larry Koutz, Pfranc of Georgia since 1998 (see photo below of 3 guys at Sun-n-Fun) died about a year after our visit. He was working in his back yard trying to pull a stump - something hit him in the head. Our condolences to his family and friends.

2005.... First we will pull a trailer from Oregon to Florida and stop along the way to check out the flight path home, mark waypoints, and visit little airports.

4/30/05, PM (day 39): HOME! We made it! Almost 40 days and 40 nights! Yesterday was Reno. We were flabbergasted that the Hilton Reno charges $10.98 per day to use the in-room LAN internet connection! The room was about $100 - it was nice, and it's OK that is has no refrig and no microwave because you should be down eating and gambling in the casino, which is cool - but no coffee machine? That's not cool. So, OK, you wake up in the morning after playing craps to 1AM and drinking 17 complementary Bud Lights, and some how you are supposed to figure out how to order room service at 7AM? I don't think so. And if you did, you end up paying $8.95 + tip for coffee. Add $10 for internet access and your $98 room is now a $120 room! And if you don't get-it-together and out by the 11AM check-out-time, it's going to cost you even more! But, we did have a lot of fun playing craps as did almost everyone at our table - for about 6 hours! Well actually only a small group of players at a winning table will play for long and get to experience the big highs... like in the movies where the table is packed full with everyone yelling, clapping, screaming for the shooter to make the point so much that it draws a crowd. We had about 5 of those. What a blast. And what's more, I left the table with more money than I started with. I don't consider it gambling but more a study in statistics, probability, "luck", human social behavior, and free beer.

4/27, AM (day 36): SNOW!
But not too much to drive out and head west. Stopped at Independence Rock to see if any of Ardels relatives had left their mark or a message. Didn't see any. We drove on to Evanston, WY and got checked into a Best Western by 6pm. 7100 miles on the Trip odometer. Tomorrow we'll visit Salt Lake and head across Nevada. Would be fun to checkout a craps table in Rino. Then HOME!

4/26, 5 PM (day 35): Casper WY, Holiday Inn Express, new, LAN in room. Weather forcast looks bad. Spring is in the air, - NOT. No, whats in the air is snow! We out-ran the snow storm today driving 75mph south for 6 hours so right now it's blue sky and sunny but the weather channel says snow tonight and tomorrow. Hope we can make it over the rockies before it gets too deep.

We got within 30 miles of Devils Tower National Monument.
We didn't go because it was snowing and we were trying to out run the storm by heading south and Devils Tower was north. Oh well. Maybe when we get the company jet we can buz over there and take a look. I took this photo (of a photo hanging on the wall) at "Wall Drug". Have you heard of "Wall Drug"? It's an amazing example of promotion and a great story of how to grow a business and achieve "the American dream". There are ads for WALL Drug in London buses, they say. We saw billboards alongside the highway for about 300 miles! So we had to stop and see what the heck it is. ... just a drug store? Well, it is pretty amazing. Lot's and lots of things to look at, and lots of history, photos, and paintings on the walls including this one. And a great story. Be sure to read the history about the free ice water, at least the last paragraph.

4/26 AM: It's snowing here in Deadwood South Dakota! Today's plan: Head out for Casper via Gillette on the Douglas highway, then Wright and I-25, and get there before the big snow storm. This hotel here (Deadwood Gultch) is the best we've been in so far! Only $55 and a really great staff! The T-bone last night was the best I've had in 20 years!

4/25 PM: Trailer is fixed (only $55 parts and labor), saw Mt. Rushmore and a bit of Crazy Horse then drove to Deadwood where we'll spend the night. Just now learned how to use "dialing rules" to use a calling card to dial up a long distance ISP for internet access. What a pain, but we finally did get it to work.

4/24 PM: Made it to Rapid City SD, Holiday Inn. On the way we stopped in Box Elder to visit the Air & Space Musiem when upon leaving the rear axle of the trailer came off. The U bolts that hold the axle to the leaf springs broke!
Welp, we have about 1700 more miles to go. I used the built-in leveling jacks to lift it up and remove the wheels. I used some bailing wire to hold the axle in position. One U-bolt on the left side survived. There are two on each side. I found the bottom plate and both U-bolts from the right side about 100 feet behind where we skidded to a stop. One bolt was ripped in two. The other bent and twisted and the threads stripped off but the plate was OK and usable. The other side had only one U-bolt in place, the other was gone. Good thing we were going only about 30 MPH on a little road leading out of the museum when it broke, not our normal 75mph on the freeway passing big trucks.

A few folks stopped and asked if we needed help. How cool is that? I didn't know how much help or what kind of help I needed until I was finished taking off the wheels and seeing how it would ride with just one axle. It road LOW. The one remaining U-bold was about one inch off the road. We needed to find some U-bolts.
Then a young man offered help not only where to get the bolts but how to get there slow and safe without using the freeway.
Scott Worthington, manager of a near by Pizza Hut (#2768) in Box Elder, SD. He was so helpful. He spent a good 10 minutes drawing out a detailed map of how to use the many service roads all the way to Rapid City and where to get U-bolts once there. He's x-military and served in Afganistan. And get this! Just as we were saying good bye he asked where we were heading, I said Grants Pass Oregon. He's native Mt. Angle, Oregon and helped design the famous Oregon gardens in Silverton! Small world?

4/24 AM: Day 33, Sunday, Mitchell, South Dakota, Best Western w/ 2 beedrooms, highspeed LAN internet, $44. --- plan -- go see Mt. Rushmore and then think about how to get into Yellowstone as the west entrance is the only one open. (does anyone want to see a photo of Oprah's bus?)

4/23: Day 32, Hampton, Council Bluffs, Iowa, where I got to play craps from 10pm to 2:30am and made $55 to boot. The next morning, somewhere north, on a river-boat, we had lunch and Ardel learned a bit about playing craps. Everyone at the table loved her because after she learned how to keep the dice from flying off the other end of the table, she made her points 4 times and a tossed a few 7's and 11's when coming out!

4/21: Day 30, Where is Concordia Missouri? Way downtown on the left side of the street we found a little cafe for breakfast. Packed with friendly local folks it was really great! The food and the service was outstanding. We can't remember the name of the place - Ardel thinks it iw "Tallys" but I think it was something else. If you know, please let me know, and if you know the name of this beautiful young lady, let me know that too. What a smile!

4/21: 4pm, Day 29, Boonville Missouri. Almost made it to Kansas City ( ... everthings up to date in Kansas City, ), but when we heard the tornado warnings on the radio we pulled off the highway to the nearest Holiday Inn Express to wait and watch from the sidelines. Being from the west coast, we are OK with earthquakes and fires but not tornados or baseball-size hail... not while pulling a large lightweight trailer - no way. BTW, Holiday Inn Express has been treating us pretty good, this time they gave us a free upgrade to a suite. It might help having a million "priority customer points".

6pm we walk over to Burger King for takeout food. Back in the hotel I notice my salad didn't have any shrimp so I headed out the door back to Burger King passing a man standing outside looking at the storm. I looked back and said (totally-off-the-wall, out-of-the-blue): "Is that your helicopter?"
... like I'm sure, ha, but what the heck, nothing to lose. He said "Yes". Stopping dead in my tracks I spin around and go "No shit, wow?"... and I'm like now doing my worst "I'm an idiot" routine trying to strike up a conversation. The shrimp can wait. It's a Hughes ------. Carl said it was owned and flown by Howard himself! I wish I could remember everything he said. How about this? He's driving it from McMinnville Oregon to New York! I had to break-in and tell him I'm from Oregon and drove to Florida and am now heading home. Small world. He talked about McDonnell Douglas (I worked for them), and on it went. And get this, he may know a guy in Florida that may be able to help me find a FAN for my jet engine! I need to call him to get the number. He is Carl Barrows, CFII. He has flown aircraft since 1957! Mostly jet helicopters. And amphibious aircraft too. Wow, ... 971-241-7648. Never hastate to ask total strangers if that is their helicopter over there.

We saw the big arch near the river in St. Louis - I was surprised.
Ardel took this photo while we were driving 65 mph on a curvy freeway a long way away. I zoomed and cropped it a lot and am surprised how cool it looks. Probably a billion photos have been taken of the arch but I'll bet this is one of a kind and unique, like a fingerprint. It's called the gateway arch. Tomorrow maybe the weather will be nice for checking out Kansas City. The weather reports for up north are snow and cold so we'll probably head west and skip Yellowstone :-(,

4/20: Day 28, wow, gas at under $2/gallon? First time this trip. "...Sir, could you move up to the next pump please. Yes, that's me with my trailer there blocking all the pumps, thanks. You've lived here 38 years? Here in Paducah Kentucky? Cool. ... thanks for moving up." Louis had a story to tell and I just happened to be listening, there at the gas pumps in Paducah. He's 85 years old. Pauline, his wife of over 60 years, died recently, Alzheimer's, took 9 years, Louis took care of her all the way, all 9 years, to her death. Years ago they did the living trust thing. When "they" said she should go into the home, he said no. When "they" said it's time for the feeding tube, he said: "It's not my decision, it's hers, let's look at her living will --- oh, she said "no". " .... He fought in WWII, the big one. I thanked him for that and really meant it. I also admired him for what he did these last 9 years. I felt the world stop - err, pause, just then, as I listened to him speak. A 85 second long snapshot of his life. He said: "It took only 4 days for her to die. She curled up into a fetal position, you know?" Click, tank is full. "Did you pay inside?", he asked. "No I just put my credit card into the pump" as I was returning the fuel pump nozzle to the pump. (We can't pump our own gas in Oregon, it's supposed to help people who need jobs - gas station service jobs, I guess. I wonder what it pays now?) Kentucky has some cool gas stations. One of the gas pumps asked me if I wanted a car wash for $3. Our pumps don't say anything. "What's your name?" I asked. "Louis Kaufman.", he said. "Can I take your picture?", I asked holding up my Casio digital camera. He said; "Yes. I live just over there and am cooking for myself and doing well. Thanks, ... safe travels", "Thanks." I said as I got back into my SUV, on my way, heading home, only a few more thousand miles to go.

4/19: We discovered the George A. Dickel Co. was just a few miles "off route" (as Samantha says), so we had to go visit, photos soon, then on to Clarksville, TN. We passed right through Nashvile a few hours ago. We stopped only long enough for me to pee on the side of the road in a nice big bush. The weather has been really great. ---- Note I added some photos of Tony the bell man and Cathy below.

4/18: Chattanooga is so cool we'll stay a second night and go do some of the tourest things like Ruby Falls, Rock City, and Incline Railroad (a large version of my funicular), photos soon.

4/17: PM, ... Georgia was great! Saw a story book picture perfect setting at a small lake, old wood boat dock with pretty lady, two kids, and dad fishing. Wish I had taken a photo but we were "lost" and stressed, but not actually lost because Samantha (our Garmin 2610 GPS) directed us back to Highway 75 north in no time and not even much out of our way it turned out. I love Samantha. ... We drove about 340 miles today! Made it all the way to Chattanooga, Tennessee, into a almost new Holiday Inn Express, with suites! We like the suites, though this one has only 1 TV and the computer hookup is in the bedroom - now I wish I had brought a 25 foot Cat-5 LAN cable then we could put the computer in the den area.... maybe there's one at the desk I can borrow.

This morning in Lake Park I took the "Cracker Barrel Test" to see if it could be true that I'm smarter after staying at a Holiday Inn Express like the T.V. ads suggest. I felt good this morning and wanted to know if maybe I could be a little smarter, I felt smarter, so we headed to the nearby Cracker Barrel for the test - and a great low carb breakfast too! On the way out I took this photo. Ardel had no clue what I was talking about not having seen the TV Ads.

The "am I smarter" test:
I've tried this test before about 10 times. I think there are two ways to win this one. Memorize a solution or have the ability to "look ahead" and I've been trying the look ahead idea, like chess, which I'm also not good at. Anyway, this morning I found myself actually able to "see" ahead a few moves, enough to almost win the game by one pin. I think I was smarter this morning. And maybe it's because I stayed at Holiday Inn Express and got a good nights sleep.
We see lots of fun things to do here in Chattanooga so will stay another night. Our TO-DO list for tonight (eek it's 8:30pm already) is go to the Cracker Barrel (CB) across the way, Google "Crazy horse", and load new maps into Samantha. --- we be back, ... CB had a 20 minute wait so we went to A&W.

4/17: Day 25, Sunday, AM, ... hey, this Holiday Inn Express is pretty good. I actually feel a bit smarter :-) Could it be true or is it a result of a multi- $million Ad campaign on the mind of an old burned out brain? But who cares. -- The important things for us are: Internet access, two beds, no bad smells (we are x-smokers and our noses work real good now!), coffee, frig, working head, shower, not too noisy, ... etc... It's very nice to have good restaurants in walking distance. (I'm 56, is it too late for me to learn how to spell?) Oh on week days it's important for me to have a financial channel like CNBC too!.

Todays modified travel plans are: 1) Not fly the new amphibous ultralight aircraft 3500 miles home (it's not ready, and I'm not ready either). 2) See MORE of the USA. Atlanta, Nashville, St. Louis, Kansas City, Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, home.

Much more than all the great "things" to see and do on this trip I'm finding are the wonderful people I'm meeting. I'm trying to take notes and photos to help tell the stories. I know there is something here, something to communicate to you I've I can figure out how. Every once in a while, while trying it out on someone (face to face) something clicks and they light-up with the message - I see it in them, it's amazing, I don't understand it, but I'm very curious about it, and I'll work at trying to figure it out. Can't be more difficulte than figuring out WiFi in hotels, can it? I may have gained some insight this morning (part of that feeling smarter thing) about DHCP, IP's, assigned IP's, etc... to get on-line. More later.

10 minutes to checkout, we better get packing, we'll decide later today where we'll be staying tonight, ... actually we'll decide when we are there! One trick to staying in a good place is "knowing" when you are in one. Too many times we drove right by!

4/16: Day 24, Saturday, Back on the road after 7 days at Disney and Sun-n-Fun. We made it to Georgia, Holiday Inn Express.

4/14: Day 22, Thur, Yesterday Pfranc Jim and I went to SNF (Sun-n-Fun) Ardel Magic Kingdom and all had a good time. This morning we're at breakfast now here in the Grosvenor, Goofy came by our table to say hi. He don't talk. Jill our server brought me extra bacon and man is it gooooood! Yum.

4/15: Day 21, Three Pfrancs in Florida meet at Sun-N-Fun:

(left) Larry (me) Pfranc of Oregon (since 1996),
(middle) Larry Koutz, Pfranc of Georgia (since 1998), died 2008?, and
(right) Jim Pfranc of Florida (since 1997).

4/11: Day 19, Monday, at the Grosvenor Resort in the Walt Disney World Resort. We checked in on the 9th and got room 1207 with a great view of the Disney complex but the only internet access other than dial up was WiFi and I could not figure out how to connect to it, and we found out yesterday that local and 800 calls are free for only the first 20 minutes then $0.15/minute. Wow, my prepaid calling card is $0.03/minute.... and this is the first hotel in 17 days across America that charges for local calls. As screwed up as this hotel is (long story) I am flabbergausted how great the employees are!
Cathy, who I just ran into in the hall is so fantastic, the man fixing the door lock on the 2ed room on the 19 floor and the man fixing the curtan rods and air conditioner, not to mention TONY the bell hop, and I'll never forget the maid who cleaned our room just a few hours ago... wow, if an old hotel can be saved, this is one but only if the owners realize that Tony, Cathy, and the other working staff are the key - else, I'd sell this puppy short for sure. Still no WiFi in the room so I'm in the lobby using the AP that Tony fixed. I asked him, "how'd you do that?" . .. he said: "I've been here 17 years". Bingo. .... I had a great exchange with Cathy about the value of the "Tony's" of this world. Listen corporate America, don't lose Tony. Tony may not know the difference between 802.11 B and G - but he knows where the ceiling tile is and how to reset the little box (the WiFi access point), and Tony is here, here helping people, not off somewhere being a geeky premodona computer guru freak helping no one but himself (hey, i used to be on of them).

4/9: Day 17, Sat, Orlando. 3800 miles. We asked Samantha (our Garmin 2160) to "find" "city" "orlando" and she said "not found". We will be at the Grosvenor hotel for the next 7 nights. It has a great view of Disney World. Jim did a fantastic job on the aircraft and actually finished it! Tomorrow I'll fit it into the trailer proper. Am thinking of maybe not flying it home. I'm burned out. But tomorrow's another day and they say "one day at a time".

4/8: Day 16, Friday, Lake City, FL. We booked a nice hotel for a week in Disney World and should be there tomorrow. 3500 miles in 17 days, hmmm, no one is impressed.

4/7: Day 15, Made it to Milton, Florida, a few miles past Pensacola which is not far into Florida. Another Holiday Inn Express. We'll aim for Lake City tomorrow, then our final destination, Orlando, Saturday afternoon.

4/6: Day 14,New Orleans, Holiday Inn, walked Bourbon street, dinner at the Red Fish. 3000 miles done, 500 to go.

4/5: Day 13,Beaumont, Holiday Inn,

4/4: Day 12, Stayed a second night in San Antonio Sun-n-Fun! starts in only 8 days! Maybe we'll arrive in time.

4/3: Day 11, we packed up this morning, checked out of the Comfort Inn and drove to down town San Antonio to the Holiday Inn Express, River Center, near the famous "River Walk". We really like it here and will stay two nights. Holiday Inn's on this trip have been our first choice, and it's paying off with free upgrad this time to a really nice 3 room new suite with two TV's, high speed internet, refrig, microwave, dishes, cups, silverware, and central forced air-conditioning with a digital thermostat on the wall. It pays to sign up for the "priority customer" plan. I know we (Purple Computing) treat our loyal repeat "cool" customers the very best we can, so it's really cool to be on the other side, the receiving side of doing good business.

Above are a pair of Purple Dancing Birds with Air Trip USA trailer in the background.

At home (in Oregon) we live in a nice house located in pine tree forest, no neighbors, a 300 foot wide river, 45 acres, lake, ... etc. Our "River Walk" is a real one, mud, black berry bushes.. I like it a lot! HOWEVER, today I'm really enjoying the restaurants, tour boats, shops, purple dancing birds, ALAMO BEER! yum, and really love HOOTERS!:)

Tomorrow we'll go see Tom Hanks THE POLAR EXPRESS in 3D IMAX! (Hanks rocks!) We get some HDTV but no IMAX in Murphy Oregon! And maybe I'll get off my "I'm a mountian man and don't do tourest things" trip and go with Ardel on a tour of the Alamo.

4/2: Day 10, we visited 4 airports today, Fort Stockton, Irann, Ozona, and Junction, photos and words soon. Tonight we're at a Comfort Inn San Antonio and will probably stay another day or two so Ardel can do all the tourest things like the river walk and take the tours of the Alamo.

4/1: Day 9. Will spend the night in Fort Stockton, Holiday Inn. We visited 3 airports yesterday and two today.

Samatha (our Garmin 2610) failed in directing us to this ariport so we called the FBO, Larry D. Simpson, who also owns the Radio Shack store in town and writes and publishes Van Horn Advocate news weekley. Larry said some aircraft (even ultralights) will come through but not many buy any gas from him. What happened to America that no one in Van Horn Texas can afford an airplane? Larry had 18 aircraft at his airport 20 years ago and now today ZERO! It's a really nice airport in a nice location. What happened? Photos and more info soon... Right now (Saturday) we have to check-out and hit the road.

3/31: Day 8 . We're in Texas! 1756 miles from Oregon. El Paso (well almost). The Holiday Inn here in Anthony Texas is VERY nice, the nicest Holiday Inn yet. We wanted to stay in Las Cruces tonight so Ardel could see survivor but there was some kind of convention and all the hotel rooms were booked so we got back on highway 10 East and made it to the hotel here just in time.

Las Cruces, New Mexico, airport was awesome because I got to meet Mike Davis Air & Rescue helicopter pilot. Check out this beautiful chopper. Mike really made my day. He said my plan is doable and thinks I ought to be OK if I take my time and watch the weather. I sure hope I can meet him again, maybe when I fly my new ultralight in there on my way home. We ate a late lunch at the Cross Winds restaurant. At the far left in the helo photo is Ardel.
One of the men there took me on a mini-tour. I've never seen a Kaliber 150A before. Very cool. Leading edge slats and flying flaps, looks very STOL.

3/30: Day 6 & 7 in Tucson, sure is nice to have a break. Lots of news, photos, and stories to come. This vacation stuff is very time consuming! I just can't find a spare minute for work. More later.

3/28: Phonex. Nice hotel downtown on the 4th floor. More later.

3/27: We're in Indio, 9:30pm had dinner and getting setteled in the hotel, bushed, only about 2000 miles to go? Or is it 2500? The food next door from the Holiday Express (a Mexican resteruant) was (as Randy Simons would say) "most execelent"! More later.

3/27: Finally figured out how to send email, had to use something called "outgoing mail server authentcation"?, The plan today so far, 8am, get breakfast, pack, head for palm springs.

3/26: We made it 600 miles south in only 3 days and are in a hotel Pismo Beach, California at the Sea Crest hotel on the beach! Only 2400 miles to go! .... we have a lot of things to work through. This is very not easy!

Click this photo to see more photos of my new airplane:

2/12: I've been working on a new trailer. An old 25' travel trailer, cut the back out, made a fold down door/ramp. Trailer building progress here (update: 3/17)

2/20: Notice: If you know of a little airport I can land at along the way, near highway 10, a great motel, restaurant, or attraction (near a Ultralight friendly airport) let us know.

We'll start at The-Florida-Flying-Gators-airpark (I even joined the club). We'll head west to an airport named Inverness, a 35 mile leg. I I talked to Dick (the FBO) and he said Ultralight aircraft (with radios) are welcome! Call on 122.725. Alternate A) Cheryl-Lane Landings (I talked to Brook, she said her Mom (Cheryl) is not "into" aviation.). Alt B) Twelve Oaks (Call Greg). The plan is to create waypoints in our GPS's named 10 for leg 1 and 20 for the next and alternates will be 14, and 17 ... etc. then download all the waypoints (and any revisions) to both Ardels GPS, a Garmin 2610, and several Garmin GPSs I'll be flying with. That way we can arrange the alternates and both know the sequence etc.

3/8: I ordered a new aircraft engine from compactradialengines.com.
(update 3/17: It runs! See photo and more here: new engine

3/15/5: For the next leg I'm looking at Dunnellon, Williston, White Farms.

3/17: About a week or two ago I discovered Steve Thomas, who flew a PPC (Powered ParaChute) coast-to-coast across America in the year 2000, and who is doing it again - right now! This time in a Part 103 legal one, which means only 5 gallons, very light weight and slow. Wow. So I'm following his progress with great interest, asking him lots of questions, and learning from his experience. His web site is called: Steve. Thanks Steve.

Ardel discovered hotels in Florida are booked until after April 4th could save a lot of money because for some reason hotel room rates go way down --- could it be after the famous "Spring Break"? I want to visit little airports along the way to find ultralight friendly airports. Would be fun to fly the gulf coast and the west coast too. But there are a bunch of very large airports I'll need to get past somehow. An Ultralight can't fly in controlled airspace without permission from the tower so I'm trying to learn how to get permission. This old dog is going to have to learn lots of new tricks. I learned this so far: When 5 miles out: "Camarillo Tower, Ultralight Seven Seven Whisky, with infomation (Delta...), requests south east arrival". I'm not sure if this is the same for all airports. Camarillo is class "D" airspace. I'm not even going to try to go into class "C" or "B" and wouldn't want to if I could. I'll be happy with class "G", "E", and a little "D" when needed. Except I'd sure like to be able to "transit" across some big time airspace along the gulf coast because coasts are always beautiful, but only if it's totall cool with everyone. I flew the Baja 1000 to Cabo and it was totally awesome. I think we ought to have that kind of fun and freedom here in the USA!

Overview/plan:

I bought a new Amphibious Ultralight aircraft kit from Jim Ratte at Recreational Mobility in Florida and I've commissioned Jim to build it for me. It should be done by mid March 2005.

Ardel and I will drive to Florida with a trailer to pick it up and bring it home to Oregon.

I will try to fly it back via the southern route along highway 10.

About 3,000 miles at 60 miles per hour.

I'll take my Byonics PocketTracker which will brodcast to Bob Bruninga's APRS system my position, speed, direction, and altitude. You can track me at findu.com.

Ardel will follow along with the trailer and a 2 meter radio in the car. I'll try to stay in radio contact with her with my Vertex VXA-700 Nav/Com handy talky (what a great machine) attached to my new Lightspeed 15XLc ANR (Automatic Noise Reduction) headsets (very cool though doesn't remove much of the high pitch sounds of my two cycle Rotax 447 engine).

We'll use 146.5050 simplex to keep in touch.

When I get it home to Oregon here, I'll put my gas turbine jet engine on it and be the first and only turboprop amphibous ultralight aircraft ever then maybe fly it (or trailer it) to the Arlington Airshow because I'm told people there will enjoy seeing it.

  1. My first leg will be from the: Florida Flying Gators Flight Park, FAA ID: 3FD4. Vernon Peckham is my main contact there and is also "The American with the BBC Voice" microlight and ultralight air show commentator.
